Coming from a South Asian background, art was never a consideration when it came to career. However, that did not mean I did not love art, I was just not confident enough to pursue it. From drawing the Little Mermaid to starting a design program, I am proud to say that I unlearned some of my hereditary beliefs to make space for new beginnings. It has now been 8 months since I started practicing traditional art seriously and is one of the driving reasons I am in New Media program.
